Bowlers at the Co-Op Bowls Club in Stockingstone Hill were surprised to see a helicopter landing on their bowls green.

There had been a serious accident nearby and the Hearts Air Amulance had been called.

It was rumoured that a young person was critically injured.

While the injured victim was being stabilised, the pilot of the aircraft had time to take a few photos of the bowlers in front of the helicopter on the green.

The patient was loaded onto the helicopter and transported away.
