Luton Polish Festival

SCENES

The Festival was run by the Polonia Community Group, chaired by Sebastain Delinski. It celebrated polish culture, customs, language, and food among other things. It consisted of stalls promoting many local polish businesses together with those providing traditional Polish food which proved popular with the visitors. Polonia is associated with the Polish British Integration Centre which aims to help those from Poland to integrate into British Society.

The festival follows a successful "Polish Day" attended by over 300 people and held at the Luton Irish Forum earlier on 23 Jan 2016.

The festival also showcased talented young polish singers and dancers. Poles wearing traditional polish costume could be seen among those present.

It demonstrated that the polish community is an important and integral part of Luton culture.
