Act 1

Scene 1 - Outside the Pub

Jack staggered drunkenly out of the pub, paused looks around and starts walking to his car. At the car he struggles to bring out his car key, he finally brings it out and starts fumbling as he tries to put the key into the keyhole.

Fred come out of the bar and looked curiously at Jack across the road. He walked over.

Fred

(To Jack) I don’t think you trying to drive that.

Jack

(Stagger backward) I am trying to go home.

Fred

Not in that car, not in your state.

Jack

I am fine.

Fred

No, you are not.

Jack

Stop me.

He tries to open the door again. The key fell to the floor; he starts looking for it. Fred picks it up without him noticing and left.

Scene 2 - Inside the Pub

Fred enters the bar and walks to Pam the bartender.

Fred

Give this to Jack when he comes in tomorrow.

Pam collects the key and looks at Fred curiously.

He tries to drive, you know his condition, and I will try and get him to the bus.

Pam

Come on, it is Jack; he will be all right.

Fred

You shouldn’t be allowing him to get that drunk

Pam

I am not his mother.

Scene 3 - In the Street

Jack [gets down from Arrival bus and] staggers into his street singing.

He bumps into a car and the car alarm goes off.

He looks at the car intimidating

Jack

You think you are the only one who could make noise.

He starts imitating the car alarm, trying to out shout the alarm. He finally gives up.

I don’t have your time.

He walks away singing another tune.

Scene 4 - Outside Jack’s House

At his house.

He bangs on the door noisily.

His wife Fiona opens the door and he staggers inside.

Scene 5 - Inside Jack’s House

His wife looks at him pitifully.

Fiona

You are disgusting.

He looks at her and staggers into the living room.

You cannot continue to live your life like this.

He staggers to the couch and fell on it.

You don’t spend time with your children. What do you want them to learn from you? Look at the time. (She looks at the time)

He starts snoring.

She sighed angrily.

Act 2

Scene 1 - At Jack’s Workplace

Jack at work, feeling sleepy and working.

Scene 2 - In Jack’s First Daydream

Jack is dancing with some India dancer.

Scene 3 - At Jack’s Workplace

Jack boss walks in. He is still sleeping.

His Boss

Jack!

Jack

(Sleepily) Amitab Baachan.

His boss looks at him angrily.

His Boss

Where is Amitab Baachan? You better wake up and do your work.

Jack starts working and his boss walked away.

Scene 4 - In Jack’s Second Daydream

Jack is been sworn in as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Jack

I promise to uphold the....

A voice

And here to congratulate you personally; the President of the United State Barrack Obama.

American National Anthem.

Scene 5 - At Jack’s Workplace Again

Jack is sleeping, his boss come in and angrily wakes him up.

Jack

(Sleepily) Obama! Obama!

His Boss

Obama is not leaving his life carelessly like this. We need to see the Human Resources Manager.

Jack stands up and grudgingly follows his boss.

Scene 6 - Outside Jack’s Workplace

Jack carries a box containing his belonging at work and was putting it into the boot of his car.

A colleague walks over.

Colleague

Jack, what happened?

Jack

They fired me. Racist.

Colleague

A black lady fires you.

Jack

Oh, tribalist.

He closes his boot angrily.

I will reach the top. I will own my own company and they will come and beg me.

Colleague

Not with this attitude. You need to get hold of yourself. Be responsible.

Jack

(Angrily) You think I am not responsible; all of you are the same.

He enters his car and starts the engine.

You will see, you will see.

He drives off angrily.

Act 3

Scene 1 - In the Pub

Jack in the bar: drunk.

He was dancing wildly and trying to dance with the ladies in the pub constituting a nuisance.

Pam the landlady comes to him

Pam

Jack; time to go.

Two guys come to support Pam.

Jack walk out of the pub staggering.

Scene 2 - Outside the Pub

He reaches his car and after fumbling with the car for some time. He opened the car door and goes inside.

He starts the engine and drives away roughly.

He runs into an intersection without looking and run straight into the car coming from the right on the main road.

A Voice

JACK DIED LEAVING BEHIND THREE CHILDREN AND A WIFE.
