Club Competitions:

Set Theme Competitions
Set theme competitions focus on selected topics such as "Garden / Countryside / Wildlife", "Holiday / Travel", "Performing Arts" and genres "Documentary", "Comedy", "Animation" and "Drama". These are directed at improving our skills in these areas and are also in preparation for the Regional "Triangle" and other Competition.
We may include entries from other clubs, regions (i.e. from IAC tapes) in these competitions so that the results indicate how we are progressing relative to others.

Weekly Competitions
These were held every week and were intended to give everyone a chance to show their productions, whatever the subject. They have been replaced by unrecorded "Weekly Reviews" since 2005.

IAC NTR Triangle Competition
We participate in the annual IAC NTR "Triangle" Competitions among the North Thames Region clubs. This is a knockout competition with each team entering three movies, a documentary, an open category and a set theme, with a new theme each year.

The Enfield Challenge Shield
This annual competition is held in an evening and is between about ten clubs, each submitting a single movie on any subject.

The St Albans Chairmans Set Theme
This annual competition is held for club members. The Set Theme is decided by the Chairman.

The British International Amateur Film Festival (BIAFF)
This is the national amateur competition.

The Cotswold Film And Video Festival
This annual competition is held at Stroud, Gloucestershire. There are categories for Amateurs, students and professionals, and there are "Special Awards" given at the discretion of the judges.
